Stewardship

In the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin

"Stewardship is a way of life....A good steward who recognizes his/her life as a gift from God and lives life as an offering to God...Stewardship is a way of life in which the followers of Jesus Christ use all of the resources God has placed in their care for the advancement of the mission of God in the world...(So) stewardship is not a once-a-year activity, but should form a part of the total program of the congregation throughout the year...Any stewardship program should not focus only on one aspect of resource management but should teach and model the whole stewardship lifestyle."

Congregations in the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin have access to resources to assist in stewardship education and annual financial response programs.

A stewardship resource person is available to provide information and guidance to congregational stewardship committees, as well as facilitate stewardship education workshops.  For more information, send an e-mail to Rolfe Nervig at rolfen@scsw-elca.org

Stewardship Networking groups will be meeting during the year in different locations throughout the Synod for stewardship leaders to gather to learn about resources, share information, and provide support for each other.  To see the schedule of stewardship networking group meetings in your area, click here.
